Hi telediv38 6612860, perhaps you were expecting flat buttons? These earrings are made using decorative shank-style buttons. I found a coffee can of old buttons at a thrift store while I was on vacation for just a couple bucks. There were all kinds inside. Wood, metal, plastic and a lot of fancy ones with rhinestones. My friends asked what I was going to do with them. Now I know. As a pendant on a necklace if I have just one and a pair of earrings if I have a matching pair. Thank you for inspiring me.

What a wonderful way to display some pretty buttons! Some of the vintage buttons with rhinestones would really look great as earrings! This project might also work for different types of clips or wires to,either just sit on the earlobe, or dangle down depending in the button and the look you want to,go,for! And what is so great is that these can truly be one of a kind and special to,perhaps become an heirloom! Great idea!
