This is a great idea. I scour thrift shoos looking for buttons to use in my jewelry making. Not in cans or boxes but still on the clothes. I get great deals. A $2 blouse may yield a dozen buttons in a rare design. No one seems to notice them.one shop even discounted the shirt because it had a tiny stin on the wrist area. I didn't care, I just wanted the buttons. I think $2 for a dozen Ralph Lauren buttons was a very good buy.
