Vintage Button DIY Necklace
Wondering what to do with your old but cute buttons? Make this Vintage Button DIY Necklace! Use your neat button collection to showcase your favorites as necklace pendants with this simple tutorial. Choose the button you want to make into a pendant. Cut off the shank (carefully!) so that the button lies flat, and glue it to a cabochon tray. Once it dries, use a jump ring to attach it to a necklace chain. It's that easy to create your own DIY jewelry with buttons!

So many times I have found beautiful vintage buttons that deserve to be displayed with more outfits that just the item it's sewed on! I have one large pinkish button with iridescent trim that would be lovely, and since it is a two-hole type, no need to cut off the shank. I suppose if the holes were big enough you could skip the backing and string the chain or cords through the holes! Alternatively I could glue some tiny gems in the center! Thanks for sharing this idea!
