Quilled Heart DIY Pendant
From the blogger: "Here's a paper pendant that's pretty enough to be a gift for someone you love. The asymmetric heart shape contains a smaller quilled heart, made by rolling and shaping metallic edge quilling paper strips for a bit of shine. In an evening you can make the paper components and set them aside to dry. The next morning, add a jump ring, slide the pendant onto a necklace chain, wear, and enjoy the compliments that will surely come your way!"

This is really made out of or from paper? I have never made or owned anything like this. How durable is the paper and how long do these pieces last before they start showing wear? Can they get wet? So many questions because this is totally new to me.

Hi Hippie Chick, quilled paper jewelry is pretty delicate, and I would avoid getting it wet or wearing it while being active. The designer says you can "apply a spray or brush-on satin acrylic varnish to give the paper water resistance and extra durability," but I have not personally tried this technique. I hope this helps! - Editor of AllFreeJewelryMaking
