This would be a cute craft idea for children, but I wouldn't wear it. But then I'm 65! lol

I love making jewelry (especially statement necklaces) out of 'unusual' items: bobby pin focal points, vintage file tabs, plumbing parts, aluminum tabs, etc. I figure, if it has a hole in it, it's fair game for jewelry! If it doesn't have a hole, then just wire wrap it!

I have used lots of weird stuff ranging from plastic toy snakes, pull tabs on aluminum cans, tissue boxes, green tea boxes, cereal boxes, file folders and other pretty papers to make paper beads, I am getting ready to use a holly center from a holiday greenery spray and a button to make a funky brooch...Cloth and drinking straws to make beads, a water bottle to make a pendant wrapped in fabric.....I love upcycled items. I am also planning on making some plastic bag beads. Oh and the gag gift fused bubble wrap necklace I gave my MIL. Hehehehehehe.

I have some teal duck tape, I think it will look great with some black glass beads. Thanks for the idea!

I had some old pop pull tabs, I glued seed beads to the bottoms and just put ear wires at the top. Totally rad!
