Now I have "Kiss the Girl" from The Little Mermaid stuck in my head. I agree, these aren't quite my style, but I bet this beachy, bohemian look would appeal to a lot of my friends.

These aren't really my style, but they seem easy enough, and I know at least three people who would LOVE them. Maybe I should make a ton as backup gifts for when I forget someone's birthday! I bet they'd also be a bit more all-purpose in black.
