I like your idea. I think that is a great way to crochet some fun earrings. Do you have a pattern for a smaller pair? I was wondering if these were heavy to wear, it looks like they pull down on the ear lobe a bit more than I would want.

The fun thing about these earrings is because they are yarn they really aren't as heavy as you would think! The designer for this specific pair of earrings affirmed that these are not heavy. However, if they appear too big or bulky for your taste you can always try smaller yarn and a smaller crochet hook to give you a smaller pair of earrings! I hope this was helpful!
