How to Make a Christmas Brooch

    Christmas Elf Brooch Instructions

    1. Cut the drinking straw in small pieces, at least three of them and combine them in a way that they will create the "base" of your brooch.

    2. Add as many straw's pieces as you wish. Put glue and connect them together.

    3. Use a piece of ribbon to make them more stable and at the same time to add more color and to decorate it.

    4. To make it more childish and more elfish, glue your button, star or ornament and let it dry!

This would be a great simple and fun project for kids to do in the classroom for Christmas gifts or a girl scout troop or even having your friends bring their kids over and do as a group and see the way they all turn out different. Make a game out of it by letting the kids make their Elf brooch and they when they are all done have each kid hand theirs to kid in front and kid in front give theirs to kid in back of line so they made theirs for someone else. Such a good tutorial. The Elf brooch is so cute.
