    Make a DIY Kumihimo Disk from a CD with this easy tutorial. Kumihimo is a traditional Japanese cord braiding technique that is used for many DIY jewelry projects. In order to create a piece of kumihimo jewelry, you need a special disk with 32 slits that allow you to braid correctly. However, you don't necessarily have to go out and buy one in order to make kumihimo jewelry. Not only can you make your own, but this DIY project is a great way to upcycle old CDs, too.
