Aztec-Inspired Gold Earrings
If you're a fan of timeless jewelry, you'll love these Aztec-Inspired Gold Earrings. This earring tutorial shows you how to cut a tiered piece of acrylic and decorate it to look like hammered gold. You'll create a diamond shaped hole in the center of each earring by flipping one of the identical plates upside down. Plus, since these earrings aren't actually made out of metal, they won't weigh down your earlobes. This gold earrings pattern is truly unique, so you might have trouble finding a matching necklace. Don't fret once you've finished this project, the Aztec-Inspired Gold Necklace, which is a perfect match, will be a piece of cake!

The metallic look without all that weight... great idea! My lobes are always crying by the end of the day when I wear big, metal earrings, so the acrylic subsitute is a good plan.
