Braided Clay Bangles
Looking for some more free jewelry making projects that use polymer clay? These Braided Clay Bangles are it. These bangles are like the grown-up version of friendship bracelets. How cute would a wrist full of these in different colors look? The best thing about polymer clay is that it’s such a fun and forgivable material to work with. If you ever mess up, you can just mash up the clay and start over! Make them in any color you want and have a little wrist party with these bangles.

This is more than a palm to head slap, I am going to go bang my head on the wall for not thinking of thus myself. I have been working in clay and have come up with some neat ideas but somehow missed this. Yes, I agree with the previous poster, add some bling. Just remember no plastic or acrylic beads in the oven. Stone, gemstone Chips, glass and they have hot stick rhinestones that you can bake in the clay. If you want a deep gloss coat it with Future floor waxAFTER you bake it.

Braiding is so therapeutic and what fun to create something that lasts using this technique. As an option I could see using different color tones in the same color family for each of the three strands, or even embedding a tiny seed pearl,or sparkley gem here and there in the polymer clay for some glam and glitz! A fun project and so cute!
