How to Make Feather Earrings

Materials:

• Two feathers
• A pair of ear wires
• Two eye pins
• Two small wooden beads
• Crimp beads
• Crimping pliers
• Long-nose pliers

Instructions:

1. Slide a crimp bead and a wooden bead on a feather. Slide an eye pin through the beads and adjust so the eye of the eye pin is above the quill of the feather.
    
2. Secure the crimp bead with crimping pliers.
    
3. Repeat last step with the other feather.
    
4. Open the loop of an ear wire and attach a feather. Close the ear wire loop by bending it back and forth.
    
5. Repeat last step with the other feather.

Notes:

• If the shaft or stem of the feather is too large for a 2mm crimp bead, try a 3mm crimp bead.
• If the eye pin sticks out below the bead, trim it with wire cutters.
• If the bead slides down the feather, then apply a little glue to the bead hole to secure the bead.
